ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

<p><span style="font-family: &quot;times new roman&quot;, times; font-size: large;">Zoology Department is one of the major department of Khejuri College. The Dept. was introduced in 2011 as a general course, with just 16 students and one faculty member along with Botany and Anthropology. From 2017, the Dept. running with honours course (CBCS pattern) with 20 students and four teachers in the academic year 2017-2018 and the number of seats has been increased from 20 to 45.The academic excellence of the dept. is evident from the well performance of the students of under graduate who have studied their post-graduate courses in different universities of India. The Department organises classroom lectures, interactive sessions, field studies as well as significant seminars for the best benefit of the students. The lectures are held mainly as PowerPoint presentations. The students are prepared to excel both in curricular and co-curricular activities. The dept. has conducted different seminars, organise excursion, awareness programme, skill-based training programme etc. By organise such types of programme the dept. also guides students as well as local people for economic development. Various types of laboratories equipment are available in this section which are used for practical knowledge of the students with the help bywhich the students get hands on knowledge of various subject. There are about 200 preserved specimen presents in this dept. for identification.</span></p>
